> Hiking the Cub Lake Trail/Fern Falls Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. A wonderful hike that takes you along Moraine Park, up to Cub Lake, and then up to Fern Falls. The return takes you along the Big Thompson River back to the trailhead. It was a lovely start to the hike but it started snowing as we climbed to the lake. The snow got heavier and stared to lay on top of some of the existing snow so blocked our path after the Fern Falls (we hoped to make it to Fern Lake). The only safe thing to do was turn around and head back down. It was really beautiful and peaceful as the snow fell in the Forrest 🌲 #Colorado #visitusa #NationalParks #rockymountainnationalpark #hiking #trails #snowfall #waterfall #lake
