The Organised Explorer
Plan. To travel.
Hello!
I am the Organised Explorer
Firstly, thank you so much for stopping by and checking out my blog.

My name's Ruth and as you can probably guess, I love travelling. Here are five facts about me as a quick introduction:

-
I am British and live in the UK
-
I love a cup of tea, it is my favourite drink (the first fact is probably unsurprising now)
-
I love to laugh (live stand up comedy, TV or film, if it makes me laugh, I am a fan)
-
I collect pin badges. They are the perfect souvenirs from my travels as they are small and light.
-
I enjoy baking and decorating cakes. I find it quite therapeutic!

About traveling though, whether it is exploring my homeland, the United Kingdom, and all the treasures that it holds or jetting off to another land and experiencing the culture, the scenery and the food, I love it. I regularly find my days pre-occupied with reminiscing about previous travels, remembering beautiful sights, reading about new places to visit and planning future adventures. I love talking about travelling with friends and getting ideas for new experiences and it is those conversations that have encouraged me to write this blog. I love sharing stories of experiences and recommending places that I have visited.
I have been fortunate enough to have visited some amazing places in my life but I am not the sort of traveller who can just impulsively jet off to a destination and see what it has to hold. I am an Organised Explorer, I love researching and reading up on a destination to get the most out of any trip. That is all part of the fun though and it extends the adventure by allowing me to get excited long before I travel. If I visit a city, I make sure that I can see as much of it as possible.
My loving Exploring Companion calls our adventures "the most organised fun he has ever had" ... I take that as a compliment!
