Portugal is the oldest country in Europe and its capital city, Lisbon, is four centuries older than Rome. This wonderful country's history was very evident to me as I explored as much of its culture as I could. The art is beautiful, the food is delicious and the people are very friendly.  Located on the Iberian Peninsula, the beaches, surfing and sun opportunities are very appealing to a UK girl.
