Sunset Felucca Sailing
This evening I went on a felucca for a sunset sail. These boats are traditional to the Nubian culture. The Nubian people speak their own language as well as Arabic. During the 6 Day war with Israel, the Nubian language was used for the messages that were passed and the code was never ‘cracked’. It was an incredible service to Egypt. The Feluccas are wooden boats with one sail.
